I ordered this item from Amazon. Once I had it professionally installed I was informed that it was a imperfect radio because my Drivers side tweeter wouldn't work with it but would with other tested radios. I informed Amazon and they overnighted another radio to me and once it was installed I was very impressed. Looks colossal in a car with a double din. Plays DVD flawlessly! Touch cover is very responsive and many options etc!! My speakers are remarkable louder and more certain now with this unit. Would recommend buying from Amazon before going to your audio shop where they would charge you noteworthy more!
I had first purchased the Clarion flip out version of this unit, but had problems with the moral outputs. So I returned and purchased the MAX385 because i wanted to try to fit the double din. WELL....It looks tall and DVD playback is really obedient. Also the sirius snort connect option is a must, and if you want minimal controls for your iPod, the interface for that is Ok at best. But like many others said the response time is base. Switching relieve and forth between sources is very very unimaginative. My biggest jam recently is that the ipod connection is not linking with the video on my ipod. It constantly says "Waiting for iPod Video Signal." so if you are planning on playing the video's you have on your iPod, you might want to reconsider buying a unit that requires an iPod cable with a composite video cable on it as well. Another con is the non back-lit buttons. For around $300 it is one of the best Units you can consume... but if you can wait a runt bit and establish up, there are some upgraded versions of this Double din that you will probably more savor. I wish i would have waited...
Unit works gigantic. Especially worship the iPod interface--well done, Clarion. Audio (but not video) works w/ the iPhone 3G (except it doesn't charge, but I blame Apple for that more than Clarion) . Everything went exquisite mild except getting the control wire to the parking brake. That was a hurt.
