We've been looking to replace our stainless for a few years now, patiently waiting for the apt spot that balanced style, features, durability and value. It was tough as most of the sets we liked were very expensive - $20+ per region setting. We idea about a Mikasa dwelling that is made in Korea, but we were not sold on the style and they were made of 18/8 steel; a lesser grade of stainless.

We came across this place of Oneida at a local department store for $150 for the 12 fraction setting. We agreed that it was the situation we were looking for but we came home to gawk if it was available at amazon.com.

We were pleased to bag it at 1/3 lower cost - what a broad grasp! They arrived today and we could not be happier. 18/10 (same as the $20+ sets) and the same weight as well.

GREAT Pick Up - you'll adore them.

My husband and I unprejudiced got married and we were looking for a nice, hefty 18/10 flatware state that would be obedient for both everyday utilize as well as when we would be exciting. Upon doing an extensive search on the internet, I came upon Oneida's Satin Garnet collection. After reading all the product description and reviews, I was convinced we had found what we were looking for. So I placed the order in December 2004. They arrived about a week later and positive enough, we were absolutely happy with our acquire. The pieces witness incredible and feel large in the hand...each feels very solid, quite mountainous. After almost 3 months of usage, I calm secure myself admiring them! They do well in the dishwasher too, always coming out with a nice mirror shine. And the imprint here at Amazon.com can't be beat. I saw this same collection last weekend on sale at a department store for $150! All I can say is thanks Amazon for carrying such a expansive product at a terrific bargain!

I bought this plot about a year and a half ago based on all the salubrious reviews here. However within a couple months after using the residence and dishwashing them, they started to originate rust spots! I have been slothful about sending them support to Oneida for the lifetime warranty but it will be done for definite. Also brand that the dwelling is made in China. An older Oneida dwelling of similar quality I have had for well over 10 years has never rusted and was made in the USA. Don't know if Oneida's quality control has improved since I purchased my position but I don't know if I will engage another Oneida dwelling after this.

I'm using the Minivee in a gargantuan room (18'x 23' + vaulted ceiling) with a Polk Surroundbar 50. The Surroundbar needs major assistance below 100hz. My search for the proper sub was not easy, I wanted something that could rumble during movies, but also provided orderly, tight musical bass. My budget was under $750, so that ruled out the petite Sunfire subs. After trying several other subs, and returning them, I decided to give the Minivee a shot.

The Minivee handles movies and music equally well. Action scenes have the rumble we savor to hear and feel. Music has a solid, well defined improper slay that is completely missing with the Surroundbar by itself. But neither music nor movies have that bloated, annoying bass that many less expensive subs form.

Ounce for ounce and dollar for dollar the Minivee is in a class by itself. This shrimp beast has impressed me, my family and quite a few visitors.

I've had quite an assortment of home theater gear in the past, and have even delved into designing my gain subwoofers and full-range loudspeakers, but when I finally left college and moved into an apartment, I knew I'd have a hard time living with the tubby speakers and subwoofer I'd archaic when set constraints didn't prevail. I knew the superlative performance that large-box speakers and subwoofers could give, but I wanted to study what was possible from some of the smallest speakers available.

I considered a number of minute subwoofers, from PolkAudio, Velodyne, and Sunfire, but when I found a refurbished Velodyne MiniVee 8", I knew I'd need to act snappily. I'm extremely cheerful I did -- this sub is a small wonder! It applies a brute-force procedure to producing bass, eschewing an astronomical resonant enclosure in favor of a dinky, rigid box, a corpulent long-excursion driver (with a one-piece diaphragm made from a pulp of resin and ultra-strong Kevlar fibers, and with a 12.7 lb. double-stacked magnet assembly), and a 1000W amp that can muster brief 2000W transients.

Right off the bat, this subwoofer's affinity for music shone through. Whether dialed-in for a flat response or goosed for a more thrilling experience, the Velodyne handled the rapid-fire double kick of power metal, the depth and snap of Victor Wooten's Fender Jazz Bass, and the inexorable punch and rumble of Metallica with equal aplomb, while collected offering a light touch for pop and acoustic rock when primary. For movie testing, the MiniVee made short work of the driving bass line and much explosions in the final bolt scene of The Italian Job. Even when pushed hard, the MiniVee kept its composure, the internal dynamic compression limiting preventing any audible driver strain while peaceful pushing a surprising amount of air.

One thing to maintain in mind when considering this sub is the size of your room. It may be the ideal apartment-dweller's sub, but in an 18'x24' room with high vaulted ceilings, it may be outclassed unless you expend multiple subs. The MiniVee's maximum output was tested by one online reviewer to be 94dB @ 1 meter with a 32 Hz tone -- by comparison, similarly-priced internet-direct subs can usually muster levels above 110dB, but advance at the mark of a larger driver and a larger cabinet footprint. For its size, the cramped Velo generates a prodigious amount of air movement, and delivers exactly the crop of big-budget home-theater performance I was looking for, in a shrimp package. Cheers to Velodyne for this feat of miniaturization!

simple to location up and spend.

easy to desirable.

modern fabricate....looks favorable.

a huge conversational part.

i drink less now because i can drink a glass or two rather than a whole bottle!....safe for my liver.

2 negatives: a bit chubby...and a miniature noisy so i moved it from my family room to living room.

i feel this is one of the best things i spent money on.

I purchased the unit as a Christmas gift for my wife. It started out like a champ, kept the wine new, chilled and ready to pour at a moments scrutinize. Three months later one of the gaskets, which assign the air tight seal, began to fail. I had respectable results with customer service. They sent me a replacement at no charge. Six months down the road one of the chambers went humdrum, two weeks later I had another gasket fail, one week after that yet another gasket gave up the ghost. Ten months later I have one operational chamber. BUT I do have a one year warranty which I am going to try out.

I fair bought this projector for watching movie and playing games.

I wanted a HD projector under 1000$

here's my review:

Pros:

-Colors are big and lawful. Skin tones looks natural.

-Contrast is very apt.

-I'm seeing details in the dusky areas.

-Almost calm projector. (fan is very mild even in Colorful mode) .

-The image is really knowing (1600 lumens)

-Image looks uniform (a bit of noise in the dim levels but you can barely search for it) .

-All the inputs that you need (1 HDMI, 1 Component, 1VGA, 1Svideo, 1,Composite) .

Cons:

-The assist light in the remote control is diagram to smart. It burn my eyes every time I'm using it. (not really profitable when you are trying to adjust the colors and disagreement.

-No saturation control when using HDMI input.

-Zoom is really minute ( you really need to know exactly how far from the cloak to achieve it because you don't have that considerable room) .

Other thoughts:

I would recommend using a gray matte surface shroud if you're watching movies. I'm currently having a gray matte hide (elite silver max 16:9) . However if you want to play games bag matte white surface cover, its brighter.

Also I heard some peoples complaining about rainbow achieve, but I haven't seen any.

Conclusion: If you are looking for a apt 720P projector for watching movie and playing games its definitely a ample projector to assume. The represent is stout.

For under 1000$ you can't really go evil.

I'm giving 5 stars because it does what I wanted with a profitable quality.

I am not an expert but I was dwelling on buying the HD70 based on all the rave reviews and then read that Optoma had superseded it with the HD65 (1600 lumens) and the HD71 (2400 lumens) and the HD70 was nolonger in production. I went for the HD65 as I was after a large home theatre projector at an affordable tag (and the HD71 wasn't as easily availble yet) . I have not been disappointed and can't teach the dissimilarity with the high priced Sony and Infocus units I spend for work. All the features of the HD70 (including the arrive restful fan) and almost twice the lumens for a couple of hundred bucks extra and the unit is surprisingly shrimp and light. Setting it up was a doddle and soon realised that any image quality problems were associated with the DVD quality rather than the projector capabilty. With this shipshape unit I am now tempted to depart to HDMI cabling (if I can accept a half decent HDMI multizone DVD player) and a advantageous conceal. Currently I rush the video leads through the projector and the sound leads through my surround sound system. Getting the extra lumens helps for day employ at kids parties, but the HD71 maybe even more worthwhile if you can afford it. Why wouldn't you rep the latest model with the rush this technology sector is changing?

I researched projectors for some time. If I had not seen this projector in employ at someone else's home, I would have paid a noteworthy amount more for one of the more well-liked projectors. I am totally surprized that this projector is not more widely known. The record quality is astounding. It has both horizontal and vertical shift with v-keystone adjustments (features that are often omitted by reviewers) . I almost purchased a LCD projector because of my less than 8 feet ceiling clearance. I had no problems with the ceiling mount using 106" cover.

I paid $880.00 at Amazon.com. I believe a very beneficial designate for a projector of this quality at this time. I could of given this product 5 stars. I am determined there is room for improvement, I honest have not found any yet.

I spent three hours with HP technical wait on trying to gain this thing work. The things they had me try were basic, like removing and then reinstalling cables, cycling power, and like. Gee why didn't I mediate of that?

They blamed everything else but the scanner. When I refused to reinstall the hardware yet again, HPs solution was to inquire I choose a more expensive HP product.

I remember when HP produced quality products. Not anymore!

Tried to employ the stride scanner for the first time. TMA light would not work. Received message that said it was not connected. It was connected. Checked the HP spot for this scanner and the forum on the location indicated this is a major pickle with the 8300. It also indicated that HP back is not very responsive to getting it fixed or replaced.

The scanner does work graceful to scan documents or pictures. If you reflect you will need to scan negatives or slides I recommend that you do not accumulate the 8300.

Good software, easy setup and operation. The results obtained with this machine are really very genuine and consistent. I have owned a number of scanners and this is the best by far.
